Project involved infill of 24� wide space between existing historic church and rectory. Project required careful structural underpinning of both structures and application of loads in a manner not to disturb existing fragile buildings. Project sought and gained approval by the District of Columbia�s Historic Preservation Board. Final configuration required handicapped accessibility lift and used existing wall of church as interior wall of meeting room.
