The project site is west of I-95 and Route 175 in Columbia, Maryland. The building is composed of two offset rectangular prisms tied vertically by a simple curvilinear form. The central portion of the structure is clad in Centria metal panels which extend to the top of the screen and provide a distinctive skyline. The balance of the exterior is composed of a light colored pre-cast concrete. The internal structure of the building is composite steel. The lobby features a two story space and a curved accent wall with horizontal bands of Eucalyptus wood and stone tiles. Franklin Center was awarded a LEED-Gold certification
