Michael Morgan Gick, AIA, MRTPI, LEED AP
Michael Morgan Gick founded MGMA (formerly MGA) in 1988. A registered architect with 35 years of experience and a recipient of numerous design and professional awards, Michael combines his passion for architecture and his abundant design skills to help our clients realize their vision. He instills in his staff a pride in creating architecture that works for the client by listening and understanding the client's needs and arriving at the best solutions.
Michael attended the University of Notre Dame where he received a Bachelor of Architecture and Edinburgh University in Scotland where he received a Master of Philosophy in Urban Design and Regional Planning. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Royal Planning Institute and The National Trust for Historic Preservation. Michael teaches the Design of Sacred Space at Catholic University’s School of Architecture.
William H. McBeath, AIA, LEED AP
William McBeath has been with MGMA since its founding in 1988. Through his leadership, dedication and talent, Wil became a principal of the firm in 1999. Before joining the firm, Wil held positions at I.M Pei and Gensler where he gained valuable insight into the business of architecture. Wil combines his passion for architecture and his sharp management skills to help our clients realize their goals. His commitment to the practice of architecture and business management has helped elevate MGMA into one of the leading providers of architectural services in the Washington region.
A registered architect with over 20 years of experience, Wil received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Architecture from Rice University. Wil continues to support the community through his active service as a leading board member to several local charitable organizations.
Steven Moore
Steven Moore joined the firm in 1998 and became a principal in 2012. Mr. Moore has taken the lead in organizing and managing the technical aspects of MGMA's practice. He has standardized numerous aspects of MGMA's contract documents while always challenging the staff to new levels of quality and consistency. Most recently, Steve has lead MGMA's efforts to integrate BIM technology by transitioning the firm from AutoCad to REVIT software.
Steve received a Diploma from York Technical Institute in 1989 and his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Maryland in 1993.
Joaquin Diz
Mr. Diz joined MGMA in 2002. His design talents, which have pushed the level of sophistication to new heights, have won many industry awards including numerous NAIOP design awards for the firm. Prior to joining MGMA, Joaquin was a practicing architect in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he concentrated on corporate interiors and residential work. He has also worked in Europe and has designed numerous projects in several countries.
Joaquin received his architectural degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 1990 and his Master of Architecture from Rice University in 1992, where he was distinguished with the Fossi Award for best project of the year.
